I'd better blog before my blog goes on hiatus again! haha!

TUESDAY!!!

Went out with Nette on Tue to mug and caught a movie after that. We watched 'Slumdog Millionaire'. It's really nice but kinda sad to see the harsh life the Indians led (in the movie lah!)... Sighs... My favourite part is the part when Jamal called Latika in his last question. Instead of asking Latika the final question, he actually asked about her well-being! Cos his ultimate intention of joining 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' was to find Latika. Knowing that she's safe, he'd rather give up on the top prize cos he had achieved his aim. Nice right!

THURSDAY!!!

Returned to Nanyang to watch NYCO's audi prac on thur. Don't wish to comment anything, but I'd say that they've improved a lot since Chinese New Year. Well, there's still room for improvement! ;) OH YES, Laiweng wanted to give Mrs Ee a surprise that the three of us (Ester, me and her) learnt suona, but surprisingly, Mrs Ee already knew about it! When I just arrived at the audi, Mrs Ee asked, 'How's HCCO's erhu??' *bright smile* And the rest of the co started laughing. I was feeling blur at that moment, so I replied with an 'ERRRRRRRRR....' Only till break when I went to xianyue, then Yingxuan told me that Mrs Ee was the one who announced to NYCO that the three of us learnt suona. LOL! So she asked that question deliberately cos she already knew I 'switched' section. -.- Quoted from Denise, 'Mrs Ee has her own sources!' LOL!

FRIDAY!!!

As usual, Friday's a JINGYING DAY! It was Shunta's first time wearing his army uniform n he looks funny in it. HAHA! Before GE was GE soccer match, DAJI vs XIANYUE. Didn't watch, so Im not sure who're the players. But according to Yuheng (though he's from tanbo, he represented xianyue ytd), xianyue lost. lol! Sherry's AEP friend came to discuss concert designs with us. Her art is really good! Her drawing of the sweet wrapper was very real! I really look forward to see our concert designs! HEHH!!

SATURDAY!!!

Today's my fifth lesson with jls! I think suona is getting more and more interesting and jls is a very nice teacher! Hehh! We were supposed to have sectional lunch at Golden Rooster at 12.30, but all of us were 15min late. LOL! (ehh no, i was supposed to be punctual, but SOMEONE reached Woodlands interchange late. haha!) Golden Rooster was super crowded at that time, so we packed to school and ate at Laiweng's class bench (cos she has a cool class bench haha!). This time we're smart. We bought our snacks before going to school, so we do not have to run to coro to get food during our break. HAHA! While we were eating, we met Chris Seah (suona senior) lol. He joined us for the first 20min of our prac.

After lunch, we were intending to prac the technical stuffs before jls came. Unfortunately when we were finally ready, jls arrived. Lol. Jls got chris seah to teach us for the subsequent two weeks cos he has performances. Wonder how it's going to be like being taught by him... HAHA! I like my shao zi today cos it's slightly sharp. In other words, I could use less qi4 to blow to get the notes in tune. Hehh! Oh! And my gao1 yin1 improved today! Cos I could (finally) chao1 chui1 on my zhongsuo (after two weeks of failed attempt)! (yes, i'm getting it!!!) Pracced both the syf pieces today. I feel lucky to have Tammy, the zhongsuo pro, cos with her around, I can hun4. :P HAHA jkjk, of course I'll prac my parts till I can play lah! There's a part where the zhongsuo has to use the pinky to press all the notes. It's super tough especially when the lower register is a little retarded (in the sense that the note either comes out late or nvr comes out at all). Amazingly, Tammy could do it! Apparently I hunned4 at that part (by playing the first and last note haha!)OH! Our vibrato has improved too! I'm so happy! HAHAH! But the frequency is still quite inconsistent. Yay, nvm. Practice makes perfect! (: I think the vibrato thing is very fun. LOL!

Today I made a big discovery --- Chinsian is actually a very funny person! When Tammy almost fell, she was such a saddist that she kept laughing at Tammy. As we were walking to coro after prac, Chinsian almost slipped and fell. Tammy was the only one who witnessed it (i think) but she didn't even laugh like Chinsian did previously. AMUSINGLY, Chinsian laughed like crazy about her fall. Though I wasnt sure of what she was laughing about, I also laughed like mad cos I found her laughter very amusing. LOL! Jasmine asked, 'Sheila! Why are you laughing so hard? Do you even know what you're laughing about?' I replied, 'HAHA! I DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED, BUT I JUST FIND CHINSIAN'S LAUGHTER VERY FUNNY!' Then Jasmine started laughing at me. LOL! VICIOUS CYCLE. HAHA! Then Jasmine told me about something similar that happened during our NYCO committee step down:

Chinsian was running towards me, but somehow, she slipped and fell. As expected, she laid on her knees and started laughing non-stop over her fall. At first I wanted to go and help her, but after seeing her laugh, I couldn't stop laughing that other people had to help her instead.

HAHAHA! I cant even remember this incident already lah! Oh well, I think suona xiaous are very fun! It makes me look forward to saturdays!(: MY TEMPORARY SECTION, SUONA AND JIN LAO SHI! <33333

Went K-box with Chewfei, Szemin, Hongfei and Junzhi ytd. Junzhi sings like JJ Lin and can immitate several singers like Jacky Wu... (cant rmb who else lol!)etc. It's really funny luh! We got very high towards the end lol. To end off, all of us sang '情歌王', a song with a combination of excerpts of (dont know how many) songs. As we were so high that we were reluctant to leave, we kept pressing the 'replay' button to sing it over and over again. HAHA! After that we got sian and began to sing the lyrics in English. LOL!!!

Layting came to join us after K-box. Hongfei was supposed to leave for bowling but his friends pangseh-ed him. So he stayed with us while Junzhi left for family dinner. Had subway for dinner! <3333 SUBWAY IS LOVE! <3333 Then we went to catch 'Coming Soon'. It is a horror movie which has the same producers as 'Shutter', 'Alone' and '4bia'. The director is Sophon Sakdaphisit. Guess what? Sophon Sakdaphisit is going to be my next idol cos I really like his horror movies! Just as I was craving for a horror movie recently, 'Coming Soon' didn't disappoint me. The effects are good and the plot is pretty creative. Or rather, I should say these are the traits of his productions! I was telling Chewfei that I WILL watch all his productions! So far I've watched all except for 4bia. Hehh, yes, I'll watch it SOON! :D

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Oh wait, it's NC 16 though! HAHA!

Today's my fourth lesson with Jin lao shi. Today's prac was really fun. Let's see what are the interesting things that happened...

Today, jls brought the di suo for Laiweng. The di suo is REALLY COOL! Forgot to take a photo of it but at least i managed to take a photo of its shao zi. HAHA! The di suo is really big and the 'tube' is 'folded'. Since it's big, it's shao zi is huge too! LOOK (cos this would probably be ur once-in-a-lifetime chance to see such an enormous shao4 qi)!

PS: Songsim! Are you jealous of Laiweng??? LOL!

The sound's pretty cool too! It sounds like some band instrument. (Oboe i think???) The di suo costs $5k and the shao zi costs $50. DAMN EX RIGHT?! Poor willie has no di suo and has to stick with his zhong suo. HAHA! At least he made a great improvement today! haha kudos to him!

As we were playing, Laiweng suddenly asked me for tissue paper cos her saliva dripped from an opening in her suona. When jls knew abt it, he told us that it's quite normal for this to occur to her instrument. Amazingly, Willie faced the same problem too. Unfortunately, his case is rare. LOL! Cos zhongsuo is super long, so it's quite unlikely for saliva to flow all the way down. His even had a small 'puddle' of saliva. HAHAHA! POWER!

During break, Tammy, Jasmine, Willie and I had a craving for Kitkat. So we marched our way to the canteen. Sadly, the snacks stall wasnt opened. So we ran all the way to coro's fairprice to get our kitkat chunky. HAHAHA! Crazy right?

HAHA! Oh well, I strongly believe that we should have crazy moments so that SYF will be memorable! Don't you agree? ;)

Towards the end of xiaozu, jls spent some time drilling on our vibrato. It's really hard to vibrato with ur qi4. As we're all ammateurs, we had to vibrate our entire bodies (instead of our abdomens) to FORCE the vibrato out. -.- So jls joked that we're all like the osim massage chair. -.- HAHA! And we had to compete see whose chair is the best. HAHA! AHHHHH 7 more weeks to syf!!!!! *stress*

By the way, tai tai life resumes from tmr onwards! MUAHAHAHAHA!

Lol, life has been so busy for me that I hardly have time to blog. By the way, today's the earliest day I've ever reached home since school has started officially.

Life in JC is definitely different from secondary sch's. More freedom, different kind of school system, different time table, new school compound, new teachers and new classmates (except for 2 haha!).... Sometimes I'll still miss life in Nanyang (though it's not entirely enjoyable! haha!) I realised that there's also a need to get used to life with guys in school. HAHA! Cos they have different characters from girls. Apparently, interacting with them is also different from how we used to interact with frens back in nanyang, especially when the majority of my class are guys.

However, I'm glad to say that things have gone pretty well for me. My class may not be very bonded, but it's definitely improving. Since there're only 7 girls, it's fairly easy for all of us to clique tgt. HAHA! Being with them is quite fun too! Cos all of us have varying characters. For instance, Jennifer is one who has funny thoughts and expressions, who likes to eat and sleep; Rachel is the macho girl in class who is hyper all the time and is very good at chem; Erwina who is as slow as AH MAH and behaves like AH MAH HAHA; Audrey who has a great love for PINK, is very girly and blushes very easily; Suzie who is a softballer and has a unique hairstyle lol; Jiayu who has a high pitch voice and lastly there's me! Haha, shocking? Yeah, there're so few girls that I can actually describe all of them within a paragraph.

We get exceptionally high when we give nicknames to SOME people. HAHA! Speaking of this, it reminds me of a nickname that we thought of today.

Jennifer: PAPAYA!
Rachel: Aiyah... too long alrdy! Shall call it YAYA!
Someone (cant rmb who): EEEEE! Not nice!
Jennifer: Then what? Papa?

LOLS LAH! School has been quite fun! Let me briefly list the interesting stuffs that have occurred to me! Like Nanyang, Hwachong also has the Angel-Mortal game. I'm really lucky to have very nice angel and mortal! Cos they write to me and give me presents! Strangely, I also have a devil (opp of angel). At first I thought it was a senior who's trying to make fun of me. Later then I realised that it was Suzie Lee who was being bo liao cos her angel and mortal didnt write to her. LOL! Btw, my angel takes the same bus as me! Wonder if she saw me writing her letters on the bus. :x

Hmmm... What else.... OH! My favourite food is the high school's economical rice! The green plate one! HAHA! Cos I love the gravy! I love my civics tutor, Ms Ho, too! Cos she's really nice, she cares about the class, doesnt practise favouritism (AHEM LOL), tries to understand us, teaches GP pretty well etc... She also the civics tutor of our grandsenior class. When I went to the grandsenior class's blog, I saw Ms Ho's blog post! When I watched their video montage, I saw a photo of Ms Ho singing k-box with them! COOL RIGHT?! HAHA! Lectures can also be quite interesting when you get weird lecturers who behave funnily during lectures! LOL! (e.g. SUBSHELLS! HAHAHAHA!)

Having been in CO for almost a decade, CO in JC is still a fresh experience for me, COS I'VE PICKED UP A NEW INSTRUMENT! HAHA, yeah, like what i've posted weeks ago, I'm currently learning suona and will be playing suona for SYF! I'm really worried that I'll have not enough qi4. ): EIGHT more weeks to SYF. I'm very scared that I cant make it in time. :((((

As much as I enjoy a brand new lifestyle in HCJC, sometimes I'll still miss the days in Nanyang... Sometimes I'll start to think of NYCO, 409, Mrs Ee, Mr Han and also a few other subject teachers (e.g. Mrs Wong, Miss Tan, Mr Lim..... etc.) SIGHS. Sec sch's syf is coming soon. I wonder how's NYCO. Really miss being a part of NYCO!!! ): Sighs... I've been quite nostalgic these days...

Alright, I guess that's all I can update about my life! Hope I'll get to blog again soon. HAHA! To prevent my blog from becoming too wordy, I shall end my post with some random photos! (:
